Shelter for all – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna

The Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Office launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme – housing for all. In this scheme, houses to citizens will be allotted to those who do not have their own houses. For this, the Chandigarh Housing Board circulated a proforma to the public to conduct a demand survey both in online as well as offline mode.

• 1,27,997 applications were received
• As per the plan laid out, during the 1st phase, 10,000 houses will be given to the beneficiaries
• With due course time, houses will be provided to all the remaining eligible beneficiaries
