Aadhaar enabled polling

The Administration seeks to link Aadhaar with voter’s database. It will help in:
• Verifying the identity of the voter by using his/her biometric stored in UIDAI database at the time of polling
• It will eliminate the chances of impersonating during electoral voting.
• It provisions the system to trigger the control unit to accept a vote once the Aadhaar enabled verification of the voter is processed.
• Linking of voter list database with birth and death database (which is already linked with UIDAI database) will help in BLO to approach the new voter for enrolment
