e-National Agricultural Market – Chandigarh

As part of the e-NAM (launched by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India), the district administration of Chandigarh has taken up various initiatives to streamline local mandis and ensure an e-market platform for transparent sale transactions and an efficient price discovery mechanism in the city.
• Traders and exporters operating is Chandigarh will have access to these local market places through online platforms, enhancing the convenience and advantages of trading in the city.
• Liberal licensing of traders/buyers and commission agents by the District administration without any pre-possession of shop or premises in market yard.
• Harmonisation of quality standards of agricultural produce and provision for quality testing infrastructure in every market to enable informed bidding buyers will be ensured is Chandigarh before 2022.
